Chief Huelsenbeck retires !! - Wilmington

Chief Huelsenbeck retired from the Wilmington Fire Department after 41 years of service. He retired as the Deputy Chief of operations after spending many years as Battalion 4. Chief Huelsenbeck participated in many significant incidents over the years. He was involved in the Delaware Trust bank fire. He also commanded the Centaurus ship fire at the Port of Wilmington. Chief Al is an excellent fire ground commander and knowledgeable firefighter and great communicator. Al is also an active firefighter at Christiana station 3. The Wilmington fire department had a ceremony last week for the chief's retirement. Engine 3 and Ladder 12 were also in attendance with Wilmington Tower 2, Squirt 4 and Squad 3. Christiana units had the honor to escort the chief home once we reached the city, county line. Congratulations chief ! We wish you the best!!
