On January 3rd the Christiana Fire Company was alerted to a MVC on Churchmans Rd and Iroquois Ct. The initial report was that of people trapped and with multiple injuries. Units arrived to find two people trapped and seriously injured. One patient was extricated and transported to the Christiana Trauma Center. The other person involved succumbed to their injuries. As time passed, the crews operating found that the person who succumbed was a family member of a Christiana Fire Fighter. With heavy hearts, crews extricated the family member from the vehicle. Pictures of the event are being withheld out of respect to our members family.
