Building Fire - South Dupont Hwy

On July 24 Engine 3 was alerted to Glasgow Ave for a pedestrian struck. The incident occurred about 50 yards for New Castle County Medic station 6. Medic 6C arrived quickly and determined the patient had succumb to the injuries. Engine 3 stood by and assisted Delaware State police. On July 25th Engine 12 was alerted to a Motorcycle crash on I95 near South Chapel Street (Box 0995). Engine 12 with other Aetna units to find a rider that had succumb to her injuries. The Paramedic supervisor and the Delaware State police arrived and assisted with the incident. Engine 12 cleared in 45 minutes. On July 27th Box 1540 was sounded for a fire in a commercial building. Engine 6 was alerted as the third due engine and Ladder 12 as the 2nd due Truck. Chief One five arrived with fire showing from a large car repair shop with offices. In addition there was one occupant burned. The patient was quickly transported to the Christiana trauma center while crews got water on the fire. Chief Rossel had all units operate in a defensive strategy. Ladder 12 arrived and set up on the A/B corner. The barman and officer cleared the windows in the office area and made a quick visual primary search to make sure no occupants were close to the exits but unable to exit. Ladder 12 operated the master stream for several hours. Engine 24 and Engine 29 supplied Ladder 12 The crew operated for four hours. Station 12 maintained a 2nd crew for the engine during the incident.
