House fire and Building fire - Newark and Delaware City

On June 22nd Engine 3 and Ladder 12 were alerted for a private dwelling fire with people trapped in the Brookside Park area of Newark. Captain 7 arrived with smoke showing. E9 arrived and got an attack line in service. E3 arrived next and support the fire attack. The Truck companies completed the searches which proved negative. Units operated for an hour performing overhaul. There were no injuries.
On June 22nd Engine 12 and Ladder 12 as the Rescue Company were alerted to a commercial building fire at 1423 South Dupont highway. Chief 158C arrived and reported fire showing from the roof and transmitted the 2nd alarm. Engine 3 responded on the second alarm. Engine 124 arrived behind Rescue Engine 15. The crews took the standpipe racks to the roof then deployed them from the 3 story roof to the engine below. The fire was gas feed. The gas was secured and the fire was extinguished. Units operated for one hour and thirty minutes
