On May 2nd Engine 12 was alerted to a multiple dwelling fire in West Newark at the Studio Green Apartments. Engine 7 arrived on scene with fire showing from the first floor. Engine 7 got water on the fire. Engine 12 arrived and was detailed to the second floor for primary search. Crews operated for 40 minutes before being released by command. During this run Engine 124 responded to another box alarm at the Newark High School.  Engine 124 operated for 10 minutes at Newark High School.
