Four Fires - New Castle County

Christiana Fire Company was alerted to a private dwelling fire in Robscott Manor on box 0995. Units arrived to find a shed on fire that extended to the home. E126 arrived and secured a water supply and stretched an attack line. The fire was quickly controlled and the assignment was scaled back. Engine 12 remained on the scene for 45 minutes. The Next evening Engine 12 was alerted to a commercial building fire on box 0987. The address was Albe Drive in the Old Baltimore Pike Industrial park. Engine 12 arrived to find ten automobiles on fire. An attack line was stretched and the process of putting out several cars started. The remainder of the box arrived and the cars were extinguished. E12 remained on the scene for an hour and a half. On Monday October the 24th Ladder 12 was alerted as the second Truck on a house on fire with people trapped in New Castle on Montpelier Court. Engine 18 arrived with fire showing. Ladder 12 arrived 1st and acted accordingly. The crew remained on the scene for two hours. Searches proved negative. On Monday October 24th at 1530 Engine 12 was alerted to a commercial building fire for smoke inside. The building was located in the Tralee Industrial park off Marrows Rd. Engine 12 arrived and secured a water supply with a hydrant on side A. The 300 ft line was stretched and the crew found a small fire in the manufacturing area. The fire was extinguished and the area cleared of smoke. Engine 12 cleared in 45 minutes.
