4 Fires in two days - Bear

On November 13th at 0942 the Christiana Fire Company and surrounding companies were alerted to a Townhouse fire in Briargate. Engine 12 arrived to find smoke showing. The crew found a fire in the laundry room and extinguished the fire. The home was searched and the there was no extension. Units remained on the scene for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
As units were operating in Briargate, a box alarm was sounded for a Townhouse fire in Crofton. Assistant Chief Lutz arrived with smoke showing. Ladder 12 and Engine 64 arrived and quickly controlled the fire. The assignment was scaled back in 15 minutes. Christiana units cleared in one hour.
At 1921 hours L12 was alerted to box 3210 for an apartment fire on South DuPont Highway. Engine 32 arrived to find a kitchen fire contained. L12 arrived next, the crew searched the apartment and checked for extension. Chief Hopkins (Wilmington Manor) held Engine 32 and Ladder 12. Ladder 12 cleared in about 30 minutes.
On November 15th Christiana and surrounding units
were alerted for a 911 hang up call for a fire in the Town Place Hotel on Eagle Run Rd. Engine 12 and Engine 3 were clearing a crash on Summit Bridge Rd. Ladder 12 was the first unit to arrive and had a smoke condition on the first floor. The ladder crew located a fire on the first floor and contained the blaze with a pressurized water extinguisher. Extinguishment was completed by the engine crew. Crews remained on the scene 1 hour clearing smoke on the 1st and 2nd floors. Ladder 12's crew removed several residents from the 1st floor on their arrival. There were no injuries, Assistant Chief Lux had command.
