House Fire - Prestwick

Around 10 am on Oct 25th Engine 12 responded to a fire alarm in the Prestwick development off Airport Rd. Engine 12 arrived with nothing showing. The crew discovered an odor of smoke. The crew forced the front door and found smoke to the floor. The call was upgraded to a house fire. The engine crew secured a water supply and stretched an attack line. A small fire was discovered in the basement of the home and quickly extinguished. The home was searched and ventilated. A dog was discovered on the search and removed to the outside. Crews remained on the scene for 45 minutes. There were no injuries. Assistant Chief Lutz had command.
