On August 9th about an hour after units cleared the Saint Andrews fire Christiana Fire Company, Engine 15 (Delaware City) Engine 32 (Wilmington Manor)L28 (Wilmington Manor) were alerted for an apartment fire in the Apple Chase Apts. Engine 126 and Assistant Chief Lutz arrived to find smoke showing from a ground floor apartment. Engine 126 arrived, layed a supply line and stretched a attack line. 126's crew quickly confined and extinguished a kitchen fire. The apartment building was evacuated and smoke was cleared from the ground floor. There was no injuries and searches proved negative. Units cleared in 30 minutes.
