House Fire in Sparrow Run - Newark, Delaware

On May 5th as Christiana was clearing up a MVC with a car overturned on Old Porter Rd a box was sounded for a townhouse on fire in Sparrow Run Development off of Pulaski Hwy. ALS 21 (Dunn) arrived first and reported fire showing from a two story middle of the row townhouse.
Engine 12 arrived and deployed a attack line. Engine 6 arrived next secured Engine 12 a water supply and combined the crew with Engine 12 as they were running understaffed.
Engine One five (Delaware City )arrived next and laid a secondary water supply and stretched a backup line into the 2nd floor and attic area. The fire started between the first and 2nd floor and extended to the attic.
Ladder 28 (Wilmington Manor) arrived and took the first special service duties conducting the primary search and opening up and placing ground ladders.
Engine 9 (Aetna) arrived and assumed RIT. The fire was quickly controlled and all searches were negative. There was no injuries and the all units cleared in about 1 hour. Deputy Chief Cowperthwait had command.
