On December 30th at 11:07 PM Christiana and surroundings companies were alerted to a basement fire in the Pine Woods Townhouses. Engine 3 arrived and reported smoke showing. Two lines were stretched by Engine 3 and Engine 12. Engine 3's line went thru the front door and was able to access and extinguish a dryer fire. Engine 12's line stood fast at the basement entrance in the rear of the townhouse. Ladder 12's crew opened up and searched the home. Engine 6 took the all important job of RIT and stood by on side A to protect the members operating inside. The incident was quickly downscaled and held to Christiana units. No injuries were reported. The Duty Chief (Collins 38B) had the Pine Woods command.
