At 8:18 Friday June 13th Christiana, Mutual aid, Hazmat Team, DNREC, & DSFS were alerted for a train derailment on Porter Rd at the Norfolk Southern RR. Station 12 units arrived to find a train carrying crude oil had jumped the tracks and listed but had not tipped over or collided with anything. It was also determined that there were no leaks or harm to the public. Delaware State Fire School arrived and deployed their drone. Battalion 12(Huelsenbeck) had Christiana Command and reduced the assignment. The scene was TOT NSRR and DNREC as Porter Rd was expected to be closed for an undetermined amount if time.
