On October 2nd at 0951 box 2155 was sounded for an apartment building on fire. The address was Grafton Drive at the Red Clay Creek apartments. Ladder 12 was alerted to the assignment then 6 minutes later the second alarm was transmitted bring Engine 3 and Engine 6 to the scene. Ladder 12 arrived and was assigned to open the mansard that surrounded the building. The crew worked several minutes to open the void spaces. The engines were staged for the 2nd alarm assignment. As the fire progressed Engine 3 and 6 were moved into the scene and assisted with various tasks. Christiana units operated for two hours.
