Engine 12, Tower 12 and Squad 12 responded to assist @aetnahhl on a residential fire with a person trapped in the 0980 box grid this morning, specifically the Chestnut Hill Estates neighborhood. Companies arrived to find fire showing and residents reporting another resident trapped on the second floor. Tower 12’s Outside Vent (OV) Firefighter made access to a second floor window via ground ladder and made entry, conducting what’s known as “Vent Enter Search” (VES) operations. The Tower 12’s OV located the victim and radioed this urgent message. Tower 12’s OV received help from others in the residence to remove the victim to awaiting medical crews outside.
