On Saturday September 7th a box alarm was transmitted for a private dwelling fire on Hidden Valley Drive in Newark. Deputy Chief 10 arrived with smoke showing. Engine 12 arrived and performed in accordance with SOP’s. Companies operated for 40 minutes before the fire was declared under control. There were no injuries. On Saturday September 7th Engine 3 was operating at a MVC in the Springfield’s development when box 1221 was transmitted for the rear of a house on fire in Oakwood development. Engine 6 and Command 12 arrived with smoke showing. The crew advanced an attack line in the front door and found a fire in the attic. Rescue /Engine 3 arrived and performed as the Truck Company. Searches were negative and the fire was controlled. Crews overhauled the attic and 2nd floor. Companies operated for 1 hour. There were no injuries.
