On June 24th Christiana Fire Company and Minquas Fire Company were alerted to a MVC on I95 South Bound near Christiana Rd. Companies arrived to find one car into a guard rail with one person seriously hurt. The patient was removed from the car and taken to Christiana Trauma center in Stanton. On June 27th at 0946 Box 0980 was sounded for smoke from a house on Mavasta Ci in Fireside Park. Deputy 7 arrived and reported smoke showing. Engine 95 arrived and established a water supply and got an attack line stretched. Rescue /Engine 12 arrived next and was detailed to the Truck work. The crews got a quick knock on the fire and searches were negative. Units remained on the scene for 1 hour. On June 29th Engine 12 was alerted as part of the 3rd Alarm assignment for a Firefighter Mayday in Townsend. The companies on the scene handled the mayday activation. The 3rd alarm units were sent to station 26 to standby. Engine 12 remained at station 26 for 20 minutes before being cleared to return north. On July 2nd Box 1236 was sounded for a smoke in a house on Spectrum Drive in Elmwood. Engine 12 and Ladder 12 arrived to find significant smoke in the basement of the home. As crews investigated the origin of the smoke was found to be a fire in the floor joist between the basement and first floor. The area was opened up and the fire was extinguished. Searches were negative and units remained on the scene for 45 minutes. On July 3rd box 1215 was sounded for a Townhouse on fire in the Wilton section of the district. Engine 32, Squad 22 (Wednesday East side duty engine) were clearing a MVC on DuPont Highway and were assigned to the box. Engine 12 and Ladder 12 arrived to find an exterior fire that that started from an AC unit and caught the exterior siding on fire. The Engine extinguished the exterior fire while interior Ladder crew checked the interior of the home. The outside team of the Ladder opened up for the Engine. Finding no extension the assignment was scaled back to Engine 12,32, Ladder 12 and Squad 22. Units cleared in 45 minutes.
