At 1745 on January 8th Box 0995 was sounded for a MVC on Interstate I95 south bound south of Salem Church Rd. Engine 95 and 126 with Deputy Chief 9 were on the road quickly. Engine 12 arrived to find a car on it's side with a person trapped inside. The car was stabilized and both Engine crews removed the roof and moved the patient to awaiting EMS. Ambulance 8 and Medic 9 transported the patient to Christiana Trauma center. Units cleared in 45 minutes. While returning Box 1212 was sounded for fire in a private dwelling. Engine 126, Ladder 12 and Engine 95 arrived to find a problem with a wood stove that caused a smoke condition. Units cleared in 20 minutes. A few hours later Box 1233 was sounded for a fire in the Apple chase apartments. Engine 36,126 and Ladder 12 arrived to find a washer on fire with no extension. Units cleared in 15 minutes.
