On May 23rd a box alarm was transmitted for a odor of smoke in multiple dwelling at 1 Allendale Drive in Newark. The assignment consisted of E12,E6,E23,L12,L9 and Command 6. E12,L9 and L12 arrived to find a fire in a third floor apartment. E12 secured a water supply and got a line on the fire. The ladders companies got the searches done and got the apartments checked for extension. E23 got a backup line stretched to the interior. Searches proved negative and there were no extension. Units operated for 30 minutes. There were no injuries.
