Eric Christopher Altemus
June 11, 1984 - January 11, 2012
Eric, age 27, passed away January 11, 2012 and is in a better place.
He loved sports, excelling in soccer, and traveling with his soccer team from Minnesota to Sweden. Eric was a boy scout as a youth. He loved everyone and was a Best Friend to everyone he met. In Eric's late teens he was a volunteer firefighterwith Christiana Fire Company.
He attended Independence School and The Sanford School. Eric enjoyed boating, fishing, automobiles, 4 wheelers, jet skis, and spending time with his family at the farm.
Eric faced several physical tragedies in his short life, always doing his best to work through them.
Eric is survived by his parents, Rick & Ann Altemus; older brother, Brian & wife Donna Altemus; older brother, Danny & wife Alice Altemus; one nephew, Jeff Wilson; and beloved family pet "Chip".
A viewing will be held on Monday, January 16 from 6-8 pm at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, 19808. A moment of remembrance will be held at 8 pm. Burial will be private.
