Holiday Brings Two Fires - Glasgow

On July 4th at 1447 hours Christiana Fire Company, E10,E15,E1,E32,Ladder 9 and Tower 27 were alerted for fire from the window of a home. The home is located very close to the quarters of NCCEMS Medic 6. Medic 6 arrived and reported smoke showing with an injury. Engine 124 was the first apparatus to arrive. The crew deployed an attack line and quickly extinguished a room in the B quadrate of the home. All searches were negative. Crews remained on the scene for over an hour overhauling. The injury was taken to Christiana trauma center by ambulance 10 and Medic 6. While Christiana units were operating in Glasgow engine 16 from station 12 and Ladder 17 from station 3 were alerted to a Townhouse on fire in Buena Vista Park (Box 3210) Chief 328C arrived with fire thru the roof of an end unit. The cover up units operated for one hour and thirty minutes.
