On April 28th Christiana, Engine 10 (Aetna) Engine 1(Middletown), Ladder One Five (Delaware City) were alerted to a residential fire in Mansion Farm. The 911 center was receiving multiple calls that the home was on fire and added EMS and a RIT company to the assignment. Ambulance 6 arrived first and reported a working fire and 4 people trapped inside. Engine 12 and Ladder One Five arrived together. The fire was so intense neither company could enter the home. An exterior attack was made and the fire was knocked down. Once it was save to enter crews checked the home and the search was negative. Everyone that was home had escaped the house. Units remained on the scene for several hours making sure the fire was extinguished. The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause. On April 29th Christiana Fire Company was alerted to a MVC with entrapment at Christiana Rd and Freedom Trail. Engine 126 arrived to find one person trapped in the car. The crew extricated the patient. The patient was transported to Christiana hospital by EMS. Crews cleared in about 45 minutes. On April 30 Engine 126 was clearing a MVC on I95. A 32 box was alerted for 235 South Dupont Highway at the Delaware Auto cCurt. L12 was due on the assignment however E12 was added from Dupont highway and Bacon Ave. Chief 288B (Wilmington Manor) arrived and report smoke showing. Engine 126 arrived and laid a line at the entrance to the complex. The fire was quickly extinguished and the assignment was reduced to Engine 126, Engine 32,Engine 22 and Rescue 15. Units cleared in about 30 minutes. Patient's were taken to Christiana hospital as a result of the fire.
