Thursday, July 2, 2015

On Sunday April 18th Christiana, Delaware City and Wilmington Manor Fire Companies were dispatched to 261 Joycelyn St in Glasgow Court Trainer park. Engine 126 was on radio after just clearing another box assignment. E64 arrived first to find a single wide trailer with fire showing from the B side of the trailer. They took the 1st Engine assignment. A attack line was stretched and a advance was made on the fire. 126 arrived next and took the special service duties with the crew splitting into the outside and inside team. The outside team vented ahead of the hoseline and checked all sides of the trailer. The inside team conducted the primary search. E64 quickly knocked down the fire. The search proved negative. The trailer was overhauled and the assignment was scaled back to E126,E64,Quint 15 and E155. There were no injuries and the units cleared in about 45 minutes. Deputy Chief Cowperthwait had command.
