Engine and Tower 12 responded to the 1223 grid this past Monday for reports of multiple field fires along the railroad tracks. While 12 units were on scene, Fireboard dispatched box 1223 for a dumpster on fire next to a mobile home. A few minutes later a second box in the 1223 grid was dispatched for a shed fire next to a mobile home. Engine and Tower 12 operated on the shed fire with extension into the home. Mutual aid companies assisted with the dumpster fire with extension. Both fires were quickly brought under control, and the incident is under investigation with the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office.
