House Fire

Sunday, June 4, 2023

On Friday evening Engine 6 was staffed by crews back filling an engine while Engine 12 and Ladder 12 were operating at a separate fire. Fire box 1215 was dispatched just as Christiana units cleared the separate fire. Engine 6 was still staffed and made the response from Station 12. Engine 6 and Ladder 12 arrived as the first due engine and ladder, and found fire fire showing from a one story quadplex that appeared to have fire affecting all four residential units. Engine 6 laid in from a nearby hydrant and stretched an attack line while Ladder 12 began searches and ventilation. Engine 12 arrived just after Engine 6, secured their hydrant and stretched another attack line to another unit. Chief 12 operated as the Christiana Command and requested a 2nd and 3rd alarm be dispatched shortly after initial units had arrived. A contingent of mutual aid companies operated with Christiana units to bring the fire under control. Friday continued to remain steady with incidents for Christiana units through out the night and into Saturday morning.
