Christiana Fire Company is a combination Fire and EMS department employing full time firefighter/EMTs, EMTs and part time EMTs.

Full time positions are only open when posted on the webpage or social media. Part time EMS applications are always accepted.

Christiana responds to over 17,000 emergencies yearly and our employees work seamlessly with our volunteers to ensure 1 Duty Chief, 1 Engine, 1 Ladder, & 3-4 BLS units are staffed 24/7, 365.

Currently Christiana has 35 full time employees and 30 part time employees.

The full time shifts are a 4 platoon system of 24hrs on and 72 hrs off.

Each Shift has 1 Capt./Lt. (Shift Commander), 4 FF/EMTs, & 3 EMTs

Our current part time shifts are as follows:

2 units 0600-1800, 1800-0600 365 days a year and 1 unit 0900-1800, 1800-2400 365 days a year.
