On July 21st Engine 9 was alerted to investigate smoke in the 1300 Block of Old Baltimore Pike. Shortly after that alert box 0990 was sounded for a house on fire in the 1500 Block of Iron Hill Rd. Engine 124 was clearing a fire alarm on Continental Drive and responded as well as Engine 3. Station 12 also responded with Ladder 12 six minutes into the assignment. Engine 95 arrived to find fire thru the roof and the closest hydrant about 2000 feet from the home. E124 and Engine 36 arrived and assisted with completing the long stretch. Searches were performed and the fire was extinguished. Companies operated for Five hours before being released by command.
