On Wednesday June 12th Christiana units had a night of training with rope. The company training on a Z rig off a railroad bridge in the district. Wednesday June 19th logged 17 runs for the day. Around 1500 ladder 12 responded to a 23 box for smoke in the building. Units investigated a haze. On June 19th the officers of Station 3 and Station 6 particpated in the first "Cooperative Information Sharing Event" or "Ride Along" at the NCC Communications Division. The Operations Section of CFC recognized the need for the on-scene Command Staff and Crew Leaders to become more familiar with the Operations of the EOC. This venture will enhance the knowledge of these decision makers and hopefully promote the "Team Concept" while providing a more effective and succesful conclusion to Emergency Incidents. We thank the Telecomunicators, Supervisors and Administrative Leadership for the support in making this program available. Acting Chief of the Communications Division Jeffrey Miller has provided a valuable and effective resource, and CFC is proud to be partners with such a great agency. The remaining Operations Officers are scheduled to participate soon and we suggest you take full advantage of this Educational Forum when made available. At about 1700 on June 19th Engine 12 was alerted to Red Fox lane in Pike Creek for a multiple dwelling fire. Engine 9 arrived to find a fire in the walls of an apartment. Lines were stretched and searches were completed. Engine 12 operated for one hour before being released by command. On June 20th Christiana responded to several MVC's. One MVC at Porter Rd and Jayson Dr involved a T-bone type crash. One patient was taken ALS to the Christiana trauma center.
