Apartment fire - Fox Run

On Sunday November 25th Box alarm 1221 was sounded for smoke in the apartment at the Fox Run Apts. Multiple units were responding quickly. Engine 66 arrived 1st and had nothing evident from the outside. The company investigated and found smoke half way to the floor in a second floor apartment. The Engine had already stretched their attack line. The crew found a fire in a clothes dryer. The fire was extinguished and the dryer was removed to the outside. Searches were negative. The drywall was removed and no extension was found. Units remained on the scene for 45 minutes. As the company was cleaning up from the last run a box alarm was sounded for the same apartment complex. Engine 6 arrived, established a water supply and stretched an attack line to a 1st floor apartment. A fire was located in a first floor apartment behind the kitchen cabinets. The walls were opened and fire was found in in the void spaces. It took several minutes to extinguish all the hidden fire. Searches were negative. Units remained on the scene for one hour and thirty minutes. The Delaware State fire marshal investigated the fire and ruled the cause accidental and electrical in nature. There were no injuries.
