On November 1st at Midnight Christiana Fire Company was alerted to a MVC on Churchmans Road at the “The Woods” development. Units arrived to find a car off the roadway with a person trapped. Medic 2’s station is very close to the accident scene. Medic 2 arrived and determined the patient had injures that were not survivable. Rescue/Engine 12 and Rescue 23 worked to remove the patient after the ME arrived. Units operated for two hours. On November 1st while units were standing by at the Churchmans Road crash. Rescue/Engine 3 was added to a 2800 box in Wilmington Manor for a basement fire. The first arriving engine found smoke showing from a private dwelling. Rescue/Engine 3 arrived and was detailed to check for extension on the second floor. The crew also threw ground ladders. RE 3 operated for 20 minutes.
