On July 9th E12 and Ladder 12 were alerted to a box 80 for smoke inside a house. The address of the alarm was in Gender Woods off Salem Church Rd. Engine 8 and Ladder 12 arrived to find smoke coming from the roof. Engine 12 arrived less than a minute later and placed the backup line in service. Crews found a room on fire in the second floor of the home. The fire was quickly extinguished and the primary search was negative. The home was ventilated and the area was checked for extension. There was no injuries. Units operated for one hour.
