Fires and MVC's - New Castle County

On July 2nd Christiana Fire Company was alerted to Bear Christiana Rd an Newtown Rd for a MVC car overturned. Engine 12 and Engine 3 were quickly on the road. Units arrived to find a car on it’s roof. Engine 12 and 3 worked to stabilize the car and remove the patient. The patient was removed and taken to Christiana Trauma center. Units cleared in 30 minutes On July 4th Christiana Fire Company and Minquas Fire Company were alerted to a MVC on I95 with a car overturned. NCCEMS arrived to find one trapped off the roadway. Engine 126 arrived and stabilized the car. The patient was extricated and removed to the BLS unit. The patient was transported to Christiana Trauma center as a trauma alert. Units cleared in 30 minutes. On July 4th a box alarm was transmitted for a dryer on fire in a row home in Pheasant Lake. The assignment consisted of E12,E3,E32,E15,L12,L28,Rescue 23 and the District commander. Deputy Chief 6 arrived and found a dryer on fire on the front porch of the home with smoke coming from the front door. Engine 12 arrived and split laid from the intersection. Ladder 12 arrived right behind the engine. Engine 3 arrived and completed the split lay. The dryer was extinguished and there was no extension to the home. The resident had moved the dryer outside and suffered a burn in the process. Units operated for 30 minutes. On July 7th Christiana Fire Company was alerted as the RIT Company to a trailer fire with smoke showing on Pleasant Valley Rd box Ten Seven. Engine 12 arrived and was put to work conducting overhaul. In the extreme heat the units operated for one hour. As the Engine cleared it was assigned to a AFA. The tired crew found smoke from cooking tripped the alarm.
