House Fire, Apartment fire - Llangollen Estates, Bear

On June 30th a box alarm was sounded for an odor of smoke in a multiple dwelling. The assignment consisted of E12,E3,E6,E32,Ladder 15 and the Christiana duty chief. E126 and E124 were on the air handling fire alarms and wires call due to a storm in the area. Ladder 15 was also on the air due to the storm. Engine 124,126 and Ladder 15 arrived at the same time to find nothing evident. Engine 126 secured a water supply and ran an attack line to the 2nd floor. The crew found a strong odor of smoke. Further investigation for a fire between the second and third floor. The attack line was charged and the fire was extinguished. A ruptured gas line in the floor feed the fire. Utilities were secured and the area was overhauled. Units operated for 45 minutes. There were no injuries. On July 1st Box 3210 was sounded for smoke coming from a house. Ladder 12 responded as the 1st due Truck Company. E32 arrived with smoke showing. Ladder 12 arrived behind E32,E28 and with E18. Crews found a fire in a garage. E32 got water on the fire. Crews checked for extension. L12 inside crew conducted the primary search which was negative. The outside crew threw ground ladders and conducted the basement check and side C report. Engine 3 arrived and checked for extension. Units operated for 30 minutes before being released by command.
