Townhouse Fire - Sixth Ave

On May 29th a Box alarm was sounded for basement fire in a Townhouse on 6th Ave in Brighton Village. Quint 21 arrived with fire thru the roof. Engine 12 was alerted as the Extra Engine on the working fire upgrade. Engine 12 arrived and was assigned exposure B1. The crew found fire in the attic and extinguished it. The company was then reassigned to Division C. Engine 12 operated for two hours in 90 degree heat. On June 4th Christiana Fire Company was alerted to Wilton Blvd and Pulaski Highway for a MVC trapped. Ambulance 12 arrived and reported one car into a tree with one trapped. Engine 12 and Engine 3 arrived and removed the side wall and roof. The patient was taken to Christiana trauma center with Medic 2D. Units cleared in 30 minutes. On June 5th Christiana Fire Company and Station 23 were alerted for a MVC trapped on I95 and Churchman’s marsh. Engine 12 and Rescue 23 arrived and extricated one. The patient was transported to Christiana trauma center with Medic 2A. Units cleared in 45 minutes.
