On May 11 the station crew was putting Ladder 12 back in service. The Ladder has been out of service for several months. The Engine crew ran a service call and fire alarm. In the afternoon a box alarm was transmitted for a fire in a garage that is attached to a commercial building. Engine and Ladder 12 responded quickly. This was Ladder 12 first run since being back in service. Chief 18 arrived and had fire showing. Engine 12 arrived and established a water supply. Engine 6 arrived and secured the water supply. The Ladder got searches done and opened up. The fire was under control in 15 minutes and the assignment was reduced to Christiana units. There were no injuries and Assistant Chief Anderson had command.
