House fire and Special Opps run - Old Cooches Bridge Rd

On May 3rd Engine 3 and Engine 12 were alerted to a house on fire with people trapped on Old Coohes Bridge Rd in Newark. Both units were quickly on the street with the staffing of 9. Deputy 12 also responded and was assigned Division C. Engine 9 arrived with fire showing from the B side of a two story house. Crews operated for 40 minutes before being released by command. Searches proved negative and there were no injuries.

 

On the same evening a Special operations response was alerted for a animal trapped in a underground pipe. Special operations members from station 12 responded and assisted in the 45 minute operation. The K9 was removed without injury.
