On 3/13/12 Engine 12 was alerted for a pickup truck on fire. As the crew was leaving the station the run was upgraded to a box alarm for a townhouse fire due to the pickup truck fire. Engine 12 arrived to find a pickup truck on fire. Chief Reeder scaled back the assignment to Engine 12 and 32. Engine 124 and 36 were reassigned to a AFA in Becks Woods.
One hour before the pickup truck fire Engine 124 and 126 responded to a vehicle crash at Bear Christiana Rd an Appleby Rd. Crews arrived to find one trapped. ALS was alerted and a side wall removal was completed. Five patient's were transported to Christiana trauma center.
On 3/13/12 a box alarm was sounded for a kitchen on fire in Harmony Woods development. E126 was out of position on a car fire on Wrangle Hill Rd. E124,E66 and E36 responded to the box alarm. E124 arrived first to find a small fire in the kitchen, Ladder 9, Engine 82 and Engine 36 worked with E124 to secure power and check for extension. None was found the assignment was scaled back. Units remained on the scene for 30 minutes.
