Residential Fire - Duross Heights

On Thursday June 2nd Aetna was alerted for a motorcycle MVC on South Chapel Street. Fire Police arrived and reported a male trapped under a van. E93 added the next due rescue. Christiana was alerted. Ladder 12 responded as the rescue squad with the duty chief. Ladder's 12 arrived and assisted E93 with the patient removal. The patient was transported to CER. On Friday evening June 3rd Engine 12 was clearing a smoke investigation when a box alarm was sounded in 23's local for a private dwelling fire. Engine and Ladder 12 were alerted. Both units responded with a total of 10. Engine 12 arrived first with their own hydrant in front of the house and ran the bumper line to the front door. The Ladder arrived and split into the inside and outside team. The inside team completed the search as the engine crew quickly extinguished the fire. The outside team opened up, gave the side C report and did the basement check to ensure there was no fire below. Units operated for 45 minutes with Engine 236 and Engine 32. Deputy Chief Dierolf had command. There were no injuries.
