On 12/20/2010 Station 28 and 32(Wilmington Manor Fire Company) along with Engine 12 Engine 23(Minquas Fire Company) and Rescue 22 (Minquadale Fire Company) were dispatched to Churchman’s Rd for a Vehicle Fire next to the Structure. 12-6 went responding with a crew of 4 under command of Career Firefighter Speakman. ALS 24 (Star -Leach)went on scene and reported the truck to be fully involved. Asst. Chief Lutz went on scene and reported that it was moved away from the structure. The crew from 12-6 stretched a hand line from Rescue Engine 28-6 and started extinguishment of the Truck. Crews from Rescue 22 and Engine 23 assisted with the operation. 12-6 stretched a 4 inch supply line and supplied 28-6 with water. There were no injuries and crews cleared in 30 minutes. On 12/21/10 Christiana Fire Company, Engine 15 (Delaware City Fire Company),Engine 32 (Wilmington Manor Fire Company), Ladder 28 (Wilmington Manor Fire Company) was dispatched to the Burger King in Glendale Plaza. Engine 126 arrived to find a fryer on fire with smoke to the floor inside the store. Crews used a dry powder extinguisher to extinguish the fire. The area was checked for extension. None found, searches were negative as well. Units remained on the scene for 45 minutes. There were no injuries.
