December 11 & 12 Prove Busy for CFC - Christiana Fire District

December 11th and 12th proved to busy days in the greater Newark and Bear area. On the 11th Christiana Fire Company and New Castle County Paramedics were alerted to Route 1 in the area of Red Lion Road for a car overturned with injuries. Engine 126 and Ambulance 12 were first to arrive and found one person trapped in the overturned car. The person was quickly cut from the car and attended to by EMS. A total of five patients were transported, none with life threatening injuries. In the early morning hours of December 12 Christiana and surrounding companies were dispatched to a residential fire. Engine 36 arrived first to find smoke coming from the house. The fire was attacked and searches were negative. Crews remained on the scene for several hours. There were no injuries. That same day Christiana was alerted to a crash on Old Baltimore Pike and Sunset Lake Rd. Engine 126 arrived to find one person trapped in the car. A quick extrication was made and the patient was taken to Christiana hospital with non life threatening injuries.
