Reported Structure Fire W/Entrapment - 200 Marjoram Drive / Calvarese Farms

The Christiana Fire Company was dispatched to Marjoram Drive in Calvarese Farms for a reported stucture fire with people trapped. Squad 126 (Staff with 6) and Ladder 12 (Staffed with 6) both responded seconds later. While enroute, NCC FB advised all units that the fire was reported to be in the kitchen. Squad 36 and Chief B. Reeder (12-8) responded to the incident. Ladder 12 arrived with negative conditions from the exterior of the residence and Asst. Chief M. Lutz (12-8B) took Command. Squad 126 arrived, dropped a 3" supply and placed an 1 3/4" suppression line in service. The Ladder Truck crew threw ground ladders and investigated the incident. Crews determined that all occupants exited the residence and found the fire; which was located in the stove but was self extinguished. The Ladder Truck crew ventilated the residence and Paramedics evaluated one resident complaining of smoke inhalation. Command controlled the incident and held the response to the units on scene. The Squad and Ladder Truck returned to service a short time later and the scene was turned over to the home owner. Stations 28 and 32 were alerted to assist with a Ladder Truck and Engine. Station 18 was alerted to assist with a Ladder Truck and Engine. Station 15 was alerted to assist with an Engine. BLS Unit 22, Medic 3A and the ALS Supervisor 23 were alerted to assist with the incident.
