Cody joined the Christiana Fire Company in 2012. He has been a volunteer firefighter since 2005 serving as Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief, Captain, and Lieutenant of the Millville Vol. Fire Co. He is also an Instructor for the Delaware State Fire School, and a member of the Delaware State Fire Chiefs association. Cody is formerly a Career Firefighter with the Washington, DC Fire Department where he is was assigned to Engine Company 11. He holds a bachelors of Science from the University of Delaware and is an Alumni of the Naval Post Graduate School's Center for Homeland Defense and Security.
