Pedestrian Struck - 900 block Rue Madora

At 11:43 hours, Christiana Fire Company was disptached to a pedestrian struck on the 900 block of Rue Madora in the Forest Glen development. The first arriving unit, BLS ambulance B-3 discovered a female patient with life threatening injuries and immediately began patient care. New Castle County Paramedic Unit Medic 6 and ALS 29 arrived and requested Delaware State Police helicopter Trooper 4 for patient transportation. Captain Sean Byron arrived and assumed incident command. Crews from Quint 6-7 and BLS Ambulance B-12 secured a landing zone at the intersection of Pinewoods Boulevard and Rue Madora. New Castle County Police provided scene and crowd control. Trooper 4 arrived at 12:07 hours. The patient was packaged and transported to Chirstiana Hospital. Captain Byron placed the scene under control at 12:20 hours. Units cleared at 12:25 hours.
