Christiana Fire Company recently sold a 2003 American LaFrance Freighliner FL-60 MedicMaster ambulance. The unit was sold via online auction at www.govdeals.com. The auction resulted in a much higher sale price compared to a typical trade-in. The MedicMaster was retired from service in November 2008. The successful bidder, Rathwell Hardware, is from Rathwell, Manitoba, Canada. Members of the Company met Tony Nostedt from Rathwell Hardware at Baltimore Washington International Airport on Tuesday May 19th to deliver the unit. Tony will drive the ambulance 1,600 miles back to Canada.
