Building Fire

On July 9th Just after midnight a 18 box was alerted for a building on fire in New Castle City at 600 South Street. Engine 12 and Ladder 12 were due on the assignment and responded. Engine 18 and the Chief arrived to find a car on fire inside the building with people trapped. Companies went to work extinguishing the fire and searching the building. Engine 12 arrived secured a water supply and stretched a 2.5 inch line to the fire. Ladder 12 split into the inside and outside team searching and opening the roof. Many units were involved in the operation. A second alarm was transmitted. Sadley the driver of the car sucumb to the incident. Multiple animals were removed from the building. Companies operated for two hours.
